Greg Wells
Guitar

Greg's early musical career began, like many others, early in life. A talented clarinet player in elementary school, Greg decided to pick up the guitar as well. Greg's early days involved playing a variety of musical styles, while working his way through college and law school.

An accomplished lawyer (listed in, for example, Best Lawyers In America and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers), Greg's undying passion for music keeps him playing! Greg's artful guitar work has allowed him to work with nationally and internationally known artists such as Earl Carter, Memphis Gold, Jay Summerour, and Alyson Williams, as well as local award-winning reggae sensation, IandI Riddim.

Greg has appeared at venues such as Bethesda Blues and Jazz, Hamilton Live, Strathmore, Gypsy Sally's, Blue Bird Blues Festival, The Blue Dolphin, Old Bowie Towne Grille, Growlers, and the Woodmont Country Club. With Upton Blues Band, he has also opened for acts such as Jimmy Thackery and Tom Principato.

Greg Wells' passion for guitar playing was inspired early on by many guitar greats, and include Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Wes Montgomery, Herb Ellis, Joe Pass, Albert King,. BB King, Albert Collins, and Al DiMeola. He enjoys focusing on his first love-blues and blues rock , and playing with other local jazz, R & B and funk groups.
